Formatting an IBM Thinkpad without Drivers?

So I want to format the harddrive of my Thinkpad T41p and re-install Windows XP. Only problem is I don’t have any support discs from IBM for drivers and such (only the XP installation disc). I’ve copied everything in a folder marked IBMTOOLS on the C: drive onto a CD in the hopes that I just need to put them back in C: after I format.

I’ve found the Lenovo website with the drivers available as well but that just seems tedious to install each driver seperately (considering how many there must be: touch pad, trackball thingy, wireless networks, monitors, keyboard, speakers, etc etc etc.) Am I good to go or is there any reason I should not format my laptop (like will it be hard for me to make it useable again?) Thanks in advance.

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I’m computer mad and have loads of computer input devices on my desk. I also have two monitors (screens) two speakers that aren’t overly large but take up a bit of desk space. I then have the input devices of a keyboard and mouse (wireless), trackball, bamboo touch (a touch pad for desktop computers) and a graphics tablet. I can just about take free up enough space for things like homework but at the moment my bamboo touch sits on top of the graphics tablet and other things on the desk are making it look untidy.

What can i do to tidy the desk up. I DON’T want to get rid of any of them as i use all of them at one point or another and they each costs a fair bit to completely forget about them (apart from keyboard and mouse i got that free with the pc (m8 gave it to me) but the keyboard and mouse are most important.)

Thanks for any ideas :)

This is a short iPhone video I did to show off my Ergonomic Mouse Wave prototype. I carved this stand for my Logitech M570 in order to be able to use the trackball mouse with a more comfortable, handshake grip. It’s really rough as I loathe sanding, but it works great and I’m happy.

Rather self explanatory. I know it’s a lot to ask, but I want it to connect to a screen on the other side of the room. And carrying/ using a mouse on your lap is a pain. I need it to be ergonomic.
Please don’t rob the bank, anything over like 0 wont be considered.
