How do I disable my webcam?

I have a Dell Studio 17 Laptop running Windows Vista with the following specs:

Palmrest : Fingerprint Reader Biometric

Help with watching Blu-Ray on TV via laptop?
I have a Dell Studio 17 and it can play Blu-Ray discs. I connected my laptop to my Sony Bravia HD TV via an original gold plated Sony HDMI cable but I get the following message:

"Failed to initialize content protection – (Error Code = 0122) You may try the following resolution to solve the problem.

1) Incompatible graphics driver. Please make sure your graphics driver meets minimum requirements criteria.
2) Do not use dual-monitor to playback this movie (Clone Mode).

The laptop has a full HD screen. These are other specs of the computer:

In what order do I re-install my drivers?

It seems that the Dell is th obvious choice, but Windows and Microsoft are so troublesome, and Apples are just more "prestigious" but it seems that the Apple has WAY less qalities, and upgrades for them are a FORTUNE!!!
I am going to start college so I need to decide
PLEASE only write if you know what I’m talking about, and know computers

Is tere anyting I don’t know about the apple or Windows that I should know in order to make my decisions. . .Am I missing anything that the Apple has that I’m not seeing
